Position: Full time or Part-Time BSN Instructor – Med/Surg - $60-$63 / Hr
*****ONSITE ROLE***** You will be doing lectures as well as clinical rotations with the students
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s in Nursing or higher from an accredited institution (degree must include coursework in nursing, education, or administration). Specialization in OB, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, or related areas preferred.
- Licensure: Valid, active RN license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years as a Registered Nurse providing direct patient care.
- Clinical Experience: At least 1 year of clinical experience within the last 5 years (clinical teaching counts toward direct patient care).
- Specialization: Expertise in one of the following nursing areas: Med/Surg, Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, OB-Gyn, or Mental Health.
- Clinical Competence: Must be clinically competent as defined in CCR Section 1420(c).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with faculty in preparing, administering, and grading course exams.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records; submit reports to the Program Director.
- Assist in strategic planning and quality assessment of the nursing program.
- Plan and facilitate new faculty orientation for theory and clinical courses.
- Utilize adult learning principles in teaching and continually improve instructional quality.
- Incorporate online learning tools to enhance course content.
- Supervise student clinical experiences and evaluate clinical performance in accordance with program policies.
- Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs, and verify compliance with health and safety standards.
- Provide regular feedback to students on clinical performance and engage in advising activities.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in committee activities supporting the nursing program.
